Thanks to all the churches who donated to the Peace with Justice Offering in 2007 and in the past. Your offering is needed again in 2008 to sustain ongoing SWTC ministries and initiate new ones.

NEW IN 2008, will be the awarding of Grants to SWTC local congregations from the Fifty Percent (50%) of the offering that remains behind to help initiate or sustain justice ministries.  Applications are due by September 1, 2008 and will be awarded by September 30th.  The SWTC Peace with Justice Grant Application form can be printed from the SWTC Website:  http://www.peacewithjustice-texas.org

Peace with Justice Grants for Southwest Texas United Methodist congregations in 2008:

*($1,000 to $3,000) Help initiate, enable or sustain a justice ministry by a SWTC congregation.

*($1,000 to $3,000) To help send a team of youth or adults from a SWTC congregation to Washington DC to participate in the General Board of Church & Society Seminar Program.  For more details check out the GBCS website:

*($1,000 to $3,000) to enable a SWTC congregation to GO GREEN.

*$200:  To 10 SWTC Churches to place a Peace Pole where it will be visible in their landscape.
